My fiance and I broke up before our wedding, and they told us it should be fine for them to break the lease because we were not living together beforehand. I knew they would keep the security deposit, but only wanted to end things peacefully. After OVER a month after us calling to see if they would help us, they said no and are now making us continue to pay rent for a place I'm not even living at. Terrible customer service!
